The Bee Movie (racist)

Watched the film the bee movie yesterday and as I watched I was laughing not at the jokes of which there was few but at th slight racism of the film and the messages it was sending to the young audience watching it. The film highlighted some great stereo types and the actors who were doing the voices were encouraging this, did they know or did they not care. So the main voice in this film is Jerry Seinfeld who is of the Jewish religion, he plays a bee who has to find a job and work the same job all his life. All his friends have jewish features for bees and are all hard working (stereo type that all Jews work hard an make money). OK thats not to strong of a stereo type but the ingraining begins, the next one is the bees who go out to collect the honey are big strong bees who all the women bees like. So the message so far is if your big you have a great job and adventure collecting honey and women or your small and work in an office all day with no women. Another part of this film shown all the jewish like hard working bees being "gassed" erm yeah I thought that was strange they were being auschwitz'd, sending the message this is ok. The last stereo type appeared when Chris Rock for no reason was in the film, he played a mosquito and as he said no one likes them there lonely and all women mosquito want to trade up. Sending another message that all black people are hated and black women want to trade up. This film had an underlying level of racism which amused me but also made me wonder has it affected any children watching. The film in general doesn't deserve a mention it is a poor one of the cgi age and not worth seeing.

Shot Story.

"So what, what is so special about being the 3rd child".
"I ll tell you since you didn't ask, nothing, nothing at all, I ll tell you what is special being a 5th child of a 5th child". "I can tell you now that I'm the one telling this story, and I'm a little pissed of with that, cause this story isn't about me but instead my sister". "Since I'm the one telling the story you can figure out that I am not dead, couldn't be more alive, this story ends with me killing my sister, there if anyone wants to stop reading now at least you know I  kill my sister".

Hangover 2

Well think its fair to start of by saying I wasn't the biggest fan of the first hangover and without seeing the second its safe to say we have all seen it before.
My problem with the hangover film was i missed the hype I was one of them who people were like "dude watch the hangover" "dude you not seen the hangover" "dude" you get the picture. So one day i set out and adventured into watching this film, I was going into it with the attitude that I want to find fault with this film but I hope it is a classic.
My first thought and last thought with this movie was its "dude wheres my car", everything was so similar with the exception that dude wheres my car was a B movie made at a low standard to get more laughs where as the hangover was a big screen money maker. Let me familiarize the two stories for you, in dudes where my car there are this friends who wake up one morning with no memory of what has happened so they set out on a quest to find out what they got up to and hilarious consequences ensue. Where as in the hangover a group of guys wake up one morning with no memory of the night before go out to find out what has happened with hilarious consequences. hmmmm seams exactly the same to me.
So this brings me on to the sequel, some movies shouldn't have sequels there is many reasons why they shouldn't because the first one was so good/bad because of money or because there wasn't a sedge way into a sequel. the hangover could of stood alone and didn't need a sequel a lot like superbad there is no reason why that would need a sequel (although I would love some college years one). Now I said that we have all seen the hangover 2 and that isn't true however the story line is exactly the same a group of guys go out wake up the next morning with no memory and go out to ya ya ya ya. its the same movie with a number on the end set in a different country, I have no doubt it will be loved by many and gross  a lot of money. However there is no need for another hangover is this going to become a new film genre "the wake up forgot what happened go on adventure type" I hope not cause it will become dry and morning. A lot like this post.

All the best.

Thought i ll leave you with the trailers for the hangovers and dude wheres my car movies.

AV made easy.

Well its a first blog that no one will read or know about however it is something to do and will past a few minutes of time before I sit in front of my Xbox. So what should it be about myself? gaming? TV some other form of entertainment? perhaps.
Since the UK is going to have a referendum on a new voting system I thought i ll do a quick and easy explanation of the AV system over the Fptp system.
So the UK is split up in to constituencies and people run to get elected to become MP's,  in first past the post we all have one vote and the voting can go like this. Candidate A 35% B 15% C 20% D 30%. This is a basic look but on this Candidate A wins and becomes the MP for that area of the UK. However simple maths shows that more people in that area didn't vote for candidate A, just more then any other candidate. Under AV we have to list who we want so a person might so they like A B then C, and another person might say they want A C and B. Under AV you would need 50% of the vote so in the above vote distribution Candidate A wouldn't have won in the first round. The person with the fewers votes Candidate D would drop out and they would look at how the people voted for second on his votes. So if someone voted for D then A then B, they would count up the second votes and add them to the Candidates total. The person with the fewest votes would continue to drop out until some gains 50% of the vote.

Although this voting system seams more complicated I hope that this clears up a bit of the confusion.
I have no idea what other blogs will be about but please keep in touch.
