Dr Who, and the search for America.
Well Dr Who is the longest running Sci-Fi show ever on tv for those who don't know its a British show and is created by the BBC. Since its come back it has gained great support Christopher E, took over for one season and did well to take the Doctor in a new direction. When Christopher E was replaced with David T he strenghthen the Doctors roll and he now concedered one of the best Doctors and some still keep hope he will appear in future Doctor Whos. When David T left so did the Executive Russel T, so the franchise was again going to take a turn. This where I believe we turned towards America with our show, the new season with a younger Doctor Matt S teamed with Stephen M was aiming it shows to the larger dumber American audience. The first season with Matt S was very poor it had dumber story lines and more screaming, the perfect combination for the Americans. Matt S second season started of much better and was strong in America with the first two episode being classics and mostly filmed in the America landscape $$$$$$$$$$. However the following 3 were bad and was leaning towards the Americas again with poor dialogue and acting. What has really annoyed me and is only occurring to please the simple minded Americans is a mid season break what a joke who needs one of those. Mid season breaks do not occur in British TV they do it in America to please people. I like my Doctor who like I like my tea English.

Trade "in" standards
I was listening to the radio a couple of days ago and laughing at the adverts. All you get with radios in case there is those who don't understand, it is voices, so no pictures just some one very excited in your speakers. Well there was an advert for a car and the voice over came on get this beautiful car for only £200 a month with all these extras and it sounds good and he gives you this information and gets you hooked using 25% of there air time. The other 75% is another persons voice giving all the terms and conditions first payment of £1000 last payment of £2000 subject to checks blah blah. When we hear these adverts we laugh cause well its funny when we hear all the T and C's however it got me thinking on TV adverts its exactly the same. The TV shows a nice car with a price tag only £200 a month and its great but then in the bottom of the screen in small writing is the £1000 and £2000 payments and T and Cs. When I realised this I also thought hang on, why in TV adverts can they hide the facts in the bottom of the screen in small writing, that is the equivalent of the radio adverts doing the facts in a whisper. It should be the same if the radio have to do that Facts in a clear voice TV adverts should have to show the facts in a bigger type in the middle of the screen. I don't think that the standards are the same, if radio adverts were in distorted whispers we would be outraged and it would be changed so why not TV adverts with there small print?

United's 19th title.
The moments that won Manchester United there 19th title, winning anything is a long and drawn out affair and takes great effort and skill throughout the year. The moments which were paramount in winning the title to me were;
The comeback at Westham when United were two nil down and Rooney scored a hat-trick the spirit of the Manchester United team to come back from the brink is legendary and this was one of those times. Another time was when Blackpool went two nil up against United and with 10 minutes to go the substitutes Giggs and Hernandez turned the game and United won.
United at home this season was impenetrable but there away form wasn’t as great, one of the times when United struggled away was at Stoke (who are known for making it hard at their ground). Man United’s new signing Hernandez scored a fantastic backwards header.
This are the moments that made United’s seasons and shows the ability of United team the skill to score beautiful overhead kicks and backwards headers and also the drive and desire to come from behind and get the win. United’s 19th title was truly ground breaking.

A change to my blog.
So today I changed the set up on my blog made it a bit more interesting to the eye and also edited the background now when I see something I like I'll copy it and paste it to my background. Also thought I'll make some rules take it a bit more seriously so my blog will have no more then 200 words and should do one at least each week, and make them more interesting. I hope you enjoy the new set up and why not follow, sub and comment.
All the best, Seb.

Do we cut British comedy short.
I will be writing about British comedy against America comedy not which is funnier but how us Brits seam to cut our comedy short so it becomes almost cult like, where as in America there comedies seam to go on and on. My favorite comedy show is Frasier and that went on for a long time 10 seasons and even now watching them even though the show has been over for a long time still makes me laugh. Other shows which have lasted for a long time in America are Friends which is well liked. Shows in America that lasted for a long time but maybe shouldnt are King of Queens, Everyone loves Raymond and Two and a half men. This shows never changed the characters never evolved and I wonder how they managed to stay on the tv for so long. Other shows in America that are funny new and the characters evolve are dismissed and cut short such as Arrested development and the life and times of tim. These shows are well watched in Britain and has taken the cult like mentality of a British comedy. Americans stretch out there shows well after they have run there course and long after the last laugh. In contrary British comedies are a short bang then a slow burner shows such as faulty towers and the office this shows are well liked and well followed. A British show that should of been cut short is Gavin and Stacey the first two seasons were good and the third was a poor showing compared to the others.
